Eli Prosciutti was founded in the early 2000 by the Dalla Bona family which occupies a prominent place in producing and commercialization of the Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano cheeses since year 1950.
The passion for the food sector, the experience gained by years of work and the desire to create the diversification of the products at the same time keeping to the agricultural traditions allowed us in the 80’s approach the sector of PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) products. That was the moment when the decision to start this kind of production based on the years of experience was taken.
The passion for the transformation of animal products, such as meat and milk, the determination to promote our business choices and the courage to grow in the current challenging market situation, the focus on providing high quality product, high level of service and the maximum availability to satisfy the customers' needs are the core values of our work.
We strongly believe that nowadays it is important not only to sell a product but to transmit the knowledge of the work and lifestyle, being the fruit of many years of experience and family education.
Parma Ham production plant is located in Traversetolo (Parma, Italy). Ham is the result of a traditional, slow, careful and gentle production process taking place in a modern and technologically advanced environment.
Parma Ham is sold after an average of 18 months of curing. The main distribution channels are Retail, upscale HoReCa, and those Mass Retailers and Purchasing Consortia extremely attentive to the high quality of the products.
In 2006 the Dalla Bona family purchased also a plant in San Daniele del Friuli where the typical "Prosciutto di San Daniele" (San Daniele Ham) is processed, cured and commercialized.
This small artisan company has existed for three generations producing with great care San Daniele Ham. Also in this case the product is sold after an average 16/18 months of curing through the same distribution channels as Parma Ham, that is highly demanding and selected clients.
The production of typical products
Our production complies with the provisions of strict regulations set forth by Consorzio del Prosciutto di Parma and Consorzio del Prosciutto di San Daniele (Parma Ham and San Daniel ham consortia).
